Monday, June 15th, 2009

The Oregon coast is known as a treasure beaches – one of the cleanest in the world. Then there is in the Nehalem Bay on the north coast, with its legends of buried treasures in a small Manzanita, the real strength in its thickness recovered somewhat mysterious forest. This is an area that never stop, revelations and hidden delights. Whether you may require a visit to the beaches, mountains, and three small Neahkahnie cities Nehalem, Wheeler and Manzanita, the bay is always new discoveries performance.

The San Dune Inn is one of the people, even for addicts of the former fighters in the region, like me, that almost every week from the Portland metropolitan area, about 100 miles. If there is a brief overview of the nightlife of San Dune Tavern contention straight distance of San Dune Inn – a motel for the family – is one of the surprises await carpet.

Many objects may not be obvious that a variety of gifts such as bicycles, playing with the popcorn and movies. But San Dune is. Stay in this beautiful, humble space a few steps from the main Manzanita – Laneda Avenue – and find something for volleyball and other games on the beach of sand and balls, bicycles and simply sand castles, fishing gear, such as the cube. It’s a boy’s dream.

A 41, and a child with the heart, all these toys are a dream for me.

Perhaps what I loved this place on my first visit was the focus owners thick London Brian and his approach to the earth, and the children, “the things to play. And then there was really lovable dog Buddy. This little puppy was so spongiosa soft and he felt more like a toy. But it was the real thing, and it may be the host, the guests that come into play

In this room, the wife of Brian, Billie, I am a little space at the western end of the motels. There you can hear the waves Manzanita beaches at night, Lulling to sleep. The room is decorated with a theme of the color blue, with a coffee maker, TV and VCR, Dryer snagged on the wall, a small fridge and a shower cap.

The San Dune Inn is equipped with a total of 14 rooms, all equipped with VCRs, cable TV, small refrigerator, microwave and access to all the cool sand play for free, as well as films, games and books. Six of the rooms have a fully equipped kitchen with living and bedroom areas. It is also the place where the pets – and there is little elegant grill behind a tent next to him.

For me, as the people in middle age man with a sense for the study of surrealism, I’m interested in the game with the motorcycles. After one to a friend near the house, I have a Joyride at the beach. I’m not sure zipping around three hours, so that Hines had for them, but I was met by a happy child. Hat maybe 20 years, I rolled one hour, and I discovered the old adage applies: never forget.

Visit me complaire in the kookiness slightly from this place. Brian is very precise sense of humor, and is ideal for a fun little conversation. It ido bike regularly until late into the night now, thanks to Brian and Billie. At any given time in the last year bought a small statue of a heron mad to find waste. Intriguing, beautiful, but very up to date

I’ve also noticed that even with its extensive library of films that focus on all films by Mr. Shalimar night that they have.

In the end, I am aware, the San Dune is ideal for families with children – or for adults as children. Next time, perhaps, that I am on the street for adults, a friend and we will and have a fairly large selection of movies. Or maybe two, as children and play with beach toys and bikes back. Find all in one block Laneda, 428 Dorcas Lane.
